In the early part of the 20th century, Enzo Ferrari was an up-and-coming race car driver.
Every race car driver is confident they can win a race with the right car. Ferrari was no exception to this until he met the racer Tazio Nuvolari. When Ferrari saw Nuvolari drive, he thought that he was some kind of idiot with a death wish. Nuvolari had no regard for his own life, just an unwavering fixation on winning any race he was in. Racing back then was a dangerous sport, and death was a very real, and common, outcome.
In 1932, Ferrari, who had just become a father, permanently abandoned his career as a racing driver. However, he was about to begin a new adventure, starting a company that would eventually become one of the most well-known car brands in the world. Nuvolari would be known as one of the best drivers of his generation.
