If you’re reading this post I’m traveling through Asia and I probably don’t have reliable internet.

How did I get here?

Rewind to couple months ago. My mother called me up with a request.

"Steve, I want to visit [her bucket list location in Asia]. Nobody will take me. Will you take me?"

I told her I'd think about it. But what I was actually thinking was every excuse not to go:

  • I'm behind on content creation

  • I have many projects going on

  • My wife would need to handle our two young kids (and two dogs) alone for weeks

  • My schedule is packed

The excuses felt solid. Logical. Responsible even.

The Mr. Beast Moment

I was watching a podcast with Mr. Beast. If you've been living under a rock, he's probably the most successful YouTuber on the planet. The guy who can make any concept go viral.
