Effectiveness vs. Efficiency
I've been impatient about the rate of YouTube videos I've created since leaving Amazon two months ago. "Impatient" is probably a better word than "unhappy" to describe my feelings.
At Amazon, I was accustomed to moving at breakneck speed. We built things quickly and preferred rapid feedback loops from customers to gauge whether our software and capabilities were delighting them. It was always go-go-go.
After leaving Amazon and taking some time to reflect on what would make me a successful full-time content creator, I realized I needed to create a system for more frequent, higher-quality content production. Otherwise, I risked burning myself out doing more of the same.
The challenge is that putting in the necessary thought and research to build such a system takes time, extensive reading, and deep reflection.
